The Villa
Villa Melitini rises over its own stone-walled garden on the Akrotiri peninsula — a modern three-level home designed for slow mornings by the pool and long evenings under the Cretan sky.
Every floor opens onto its own terrace. Downstairs, the shaded veranda and dining area sit right at the water's edge; upstairs, the balconies look out over palm trees toward the sea.

Explore Chania
Everything Chania is loved for begins a few minutes from the villa's gate. These are the places we send our guests to first.
Wander the lantern-lit alleys of one of the Mediterranean's oldest towns, walk the sea wall out to the Egyptian lighthouse, and stay for dinner right at the water's edge.
Akrotiri's famous hidden cove — a narrow ribbon of turquoise water between steep white cliffs. Go early in the morning, before the crowds and the heat.
Vlites, the sandy beach just 200 m from the villa, has sunbeds, a lifeguard, fish tavernas and a beach bar. The family coves of Marathi and Loutraki are a 20-minute drive.
A 17th-century monastery set among vineyards and olive groves, still producing its own celebrated olive oil and wine — a quiet afternoon well spent.
Day trips
Crete's most famous beach — pink-white sand and a shallow turquoise lagoon you can wade across. Worth every minute of the drive.
